Body Painting in the Baby Room

The babies really enjoyed the body painting activity – it started with one of the babies painting their own arm whilst painting on their paper.  In the afternoon the practitioners then arranged a body painting activity for the babies to explore this further.  The babies really enjoyed watching the practitioner paint her feet and exploring the different textures.  They then carried on the activity by painting each other.  These activities are a great way for children to show an interest in the marks they make through their movements whilst also promoting sensory exploration.
