Gemma Nuttall

My name is Gemma Nuttall and I have experience of working within Early Years since 2007.

I hold various childcare qualifications and have attended several training programs to better my knowledge and my practice.

I joined the Bright Futures team in November 2015 and work within the pre-school room as a Nursery Practitioner and the Letter and Sounds Coordinator.

The things I enjoy the most about working with children are that each child is unique and brings their own character to the group, providing us with lots of smiles and giggles and watching each child develop and blossom as we prepare them for new chapters in life.

Jennifer Hoare 

My name is Jenny, I have been at the nursery since 2014.  I am a level 6 qualified member of staff and I started working at Bright Futures whilst studying for my Early Years Teacher status.

I have really enjoyed my experiences working in both pre-school and toddlers.  My favourite part of the job is watching the children’s journey as they develop different skills and meet personal challenges.

Laura Stephenson
Forest School Leader

Hello my name is Laura and I am from Yorkshire.I have worked at Bright Futures Nursery since October 2013, firstly as a part time Nursery Practitioner and now as a full time Forest School Leader.

I have a Foundation Degree in Children and their Services, a BA(Hons) in Education and Professional Studies and a Level 3 in Forest School Leadership.

I am passionate about the outdoors and outdoor education and in my free time I enjoy creative arts such as pottery and traveling to different countries.

Sonja Daniels

Hello my name is Sonja Daniels. I was born in 1973 and love the great outdoors.

I am a qualified practitioner with a Level 2 & 3 Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Workforce.

I am trained in first aid and have taken courses in:
• Understanding & Managing Children’s Behaviour
• Planning for Vulnerable 2 Year Olds
• Level 2 Food Allergy Awareness for Childcare
• Food Hygiene
• Prevent Duty Awareness Training
• Baby Signing for Childcare Professionals

I enjoy all areas in my profession but mostly I enjoy outdoor activities with the children, visiting the Forest School is one of my favourites. I always do my best to provide a safe yet challenging / stimulating activity to encourage children to participate, achieve and develop.

One of the areas which I recognise and deal with is working in behavioural management. I enjoy this role and the results.

Sarah Maden

Hello my name is Sarah Maden and I am a Childcare Practitioner currently working in the toddler room here at Bright Futures Nursery.

I have a degree in Early Childhood Studies and working with children is what I love doing.

The favourite aspect of my job is watching the children learn, develop and grow.

Hello my name is May Kelly, I am level 3 qualified in childcare.

I have worked at Bright Futures Nursery School since January 2018.

I love working with children because I enjoy watching them grow and develop.

Emily Earnshaw

Hello my name is Emily Earnshaw and I’ve worked in Early Years since January 2016.

I joined the Bright Futures team in September 2018 and work within the Pre-School as a nursery practitioner.

I enjoy working with children because every day is different, every child is unique and best of all watching every child develop and grow, ready for their next stages in life.

Callie-Jane Stott

I am a level two apprentice and I started working at Bright Futures in March 2019.

I love being a part of my key children's development and helping them to grow.
