Toddler Room 2-3 Years
Toddlers are eager to practice independence and are developing a strong sense of identity, and our programme enables them to make choices and develop social skills, such as sharing and tidy away toys together.
All learning is done through play as this gives your child the opportunity to investigate, explore and make mistakes without experiencing a sense of failure.
The staff ratio for children aged 2-3 years is 1:4
My 5 year old went to BFNS since she was 6 months old to school and now my 2 year old goes. The staff are loving and helpful and both my girls love the nursery staff included, I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else.

Saskia Carr (Currently on a Career Break)
Hello my name is Saskia, I am level 3 qualified and have been working with children since 2011.
I have worked at Bright Futures since the nursery opened in 2012 and I am the room leader in the toddler room.
I enjoy watching the children thrive and develop their little personalities as they start to develop their language.
Nicola Jordan
Hello my name is Nicola Jordan, I am a level 3 practitioner.
I have worked at Bright Futures since 2014 and I am the room leader in the Toddler room.
I really enjoy working with the age 2-3 as they have brilliant personalities. I also love being creative and getting messy and allowing the children to explore their creativeness and making a mess!
Rajia Khanum
Hello my name is Rajia and I am a level 3 qualified member of staff within the toddler room.
I have been working at Bright Futires Nursery since 2013 and really enjoy my role.
My favourite part of my role is watching the children grow and develop and providing various activities which involve learning as well as supporting the children’s interests.
Becci Saunders (Currently on Maternity Leave)
Hello my name is Becci Saunders. I am a level 3 qualified early years practitioner.
I have been working at this setting since November 2014, I have enjoyed gaining experience and knowledge in childcare.
I enjoy building special relationships with not just my key children but every child under our care, I also enjoy building relationships with parents, I find it fulfilling when parents are happy leaving their child with us.
Brittany Askew
Hello, my name is Brittany Askew, I am level 2 qualified in childcare and I am currently doing my level 3 qualification.
I started working at Bright Futures Nursery School in June 2017.
I enjoy working here because I enjoy watching the children grow and develop.
Natasha Broxton
Hello my name is Natasha, my background qualifications are a Diploma in art, textiles and design and BA Hons degree in costume design and textiles.
I have skills in a variety of different creative working environments as well as being an activities coordinator at a residential home for the last 2 and a half years, specialising in activities for clients with Alzheimer’s, learning disabilities and dementia.
I invited a local nursery to visit and interact with the elderly clients on a regular basis which we all thoroughly enjoyed. This inspired me to further my career in working with children and teaching. I want to inspire and help to develop young minds.
Shona Monks (Currently on Maternity Leave)
Hello my name is Shona and I am a Level 3 qualified member of staff within the Toddler room.
I started working at Bright Futures Nursery in 2018 and I love working with children.
My favourite part of the job is watching children’s personalities develop as they grown in confidence.
